Goal!?!

Yesterday, I asked my arts teacher about the school art contest I took part in and she told me that I could be sure of getting an award. I was so happy to hear that, because I really wanted to be remembered as the girl who won the first school drawing contest. At least I think it was the first one they have held. ^_^;;

But then she told me why I could be so sure. It was because there had been almost no other entries in my age group! I hate winning by default. That means the judges didn't have to think about what my drawing means, how good it actually is and so on and on. I want to win because I drew the best picture, not because I was one of the few people who actually sent something in.

At least she told me that my drawing was recognizable. "It was so you," she said. She knows I like to draw anime style pictures, but she told me to find my own drawing style. I know I have to, but I'm not quite there yet.

Let's run towards our goals with full speed!
