Little bag person

I have been sewing some clothes and some ... bags.

I'll soon post the clothing items here also, but allow me to start with the smaller pieces.

A Super simple handbag with bamboo handles. Actually, sewing the handles was the most tricky part for me since this was my very first experience with pre-made handles like these.

The outer layer has a part with print fabric and a part with regular white cotton fabric. That's due to a shortage of the print material. (Found a small piece in the fabric shop and it wasnt big enough sadly)
Inside is dark blue and has a 14x16 cm pocket with a loop for a crab hook keychain holder. (For fastening our keychains to it to avoid them getting lost between the contents of the bag)

The second bag has handles that look a bit more familiar to most people. Since the smooth ones the previous bag had were a surprise to me also. I had only seen the second kind of round handles before.
This Bag is made of a thicker printed cotton with a flower motif and a light green cotton lining. Pockets the same as on the previous bag, but the depth of the bag is a bit bigger.

And the same bag while just made and empty

And from the remaining fabric I created this little bean shaped handbag. The inside has two 8x16 cm pockets with loops on both pockets. The bag strap is removable since i used simple crab hooks for attaching them to the bag. A small fabric flower brooch made of the lining fabric adds a bit of a lively touch to the bag. The piping that follows the contours of the bags front and back pieces is filled with a thin corset piping that has been folded in half and sown together to prevent it from unfolding.

I still have one more hoop bag in the works and I have fabric for a navy-white striped small bean bag prepared. :)
